Your First Visit in Ancaster Is Free
Most benefit plans only cover a few hundred dollars of physiotherapy each year. That is often three to five visits. A full recovery plan usually takes six to eight. So we make the first visit free.
You get a full 60 minute assessment plus your first treatment at no charge. We do not bill your insurance for it. Your coverage goes toward getting better rather than toward finding out what is wrong. If you do not need treatment, we will tell you that too.
The free visit is not billed to any insurer. Treatment is provided only where it is clinically appropriate. There is no obligation to continue.
Your Neighbourhood Physiotherapy Clinic
Interlink Physiotherapy is an independent clinic at 1280 Mohawk Rd #103, a couple of minutes from the Meadowlands. Every appointment is one on one with Dhiman Patel, a registered physiotherapist. You will never be passed to an assistant, and you will never share your appointment time with another patient.
Care here is active and evidence based. That means an honest assessment, treatment that starts on day one, and a plan built around what you actually want to get back to. For some people that is golf at Hamilton Golf and Country Club. For others it is picking up a grandchild, or sleeping through the night.
- The same physiotherapist at every single visit
- Unhurried 45 to 60 minute appointments
- Treatment starts at your first visit
- Your plan is explained in plain language
- Progress is measured, so you can see it
- Free parking steps from the door

Meet Your Physiotherapist

Dhiman Patel, MScPT
MScPT, Western University · BScKin, McMaster University
Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Dhiman earned his BSc in Kinesiology at McMaster University, then his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Western University. He opened Interlink in Ancaster in 2024 and treats every patient himself.
His approach is simple. Find the real cause of the problem, explain it in words that make sense, and give you the tools to fix it. An informed patient heals faster, and that is what the research shows.
Alongside the clinic, Dhiman works as a homecare physiotherapist across the Hamilton area, which keeps him working with a wide range of ages and abilities.
Serving Every Part of Ancaster
Most of our patients are five to ten minutes from the clinic. We are on Mohawk Road just east of the Meadowlands shopping area, with free parking directly outside unit 103.
Drive times are approximate and depend on traffic and where you start.
What We Treat in Ancaster
From injuries that happened yesterday to pain that has been there for years, including shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon problems. If you are not sure where your situation fits, call and ask.
Paying for Physiotherapy in Ancaster
Cost is the question people ask most often and the one clinics answer least. Here is how it works at Interlink.
Extended health benefits
Most patients use a workplace or private plan. We bill Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, GreenShield, Desjardins and most other major insurers directly. You pay only what your plan does not cover.
WSIB and auto insurance
If you were hurt at work or in a car accident, treatment is covered through WSIB or your auto insurer. We handle the reports and the forms.
Paying privately
No coverage is fine. We tell you the fee before you book, and your first visit is still free. You will always know the cost before you agree to anything.
Interlink is a private clinic and does not bill OHIP. OHIP funded physiotherapy is available only at designated clinics and only for certain groups.
Your First Visit, Step by Step
We listen
Dhiman asks about your history, your pain, and what you want to get back to. No rushing, and no clipboard handoff.
We assess
A hands on assessment to find the cause rather than the symptom. He tests movement, strength and function, and measures where you are starting from.
You leave with a plan
Treatment starts the same visit. You leave knowing what is happening, what the plan is, and roughly how long it takes.
Bring comfortable clothes you can move in. If your problem is a knee, hip or ankle, shorts help. If it is a shoulder or neck, a loose top works well. If you have an insurance card, WSIB claim number or auto claim number, bring that too.

Ancaster Physiotherapy FAQs
The questions Ancaster patients ask most before their first visit.
Where is your Ancaster physiotherapy clinic?
Interlink Physiotherapy is at 1280 Mohawk Rd #103 in Ancaster, L9G 3K9. We are on Mohawk Road just east of the Meadowlands shopping area. There is free parking right outside our door. If you know the Meadowlands, you are about two minutes away.
Is my first visit really free?
Yes. New patients get a full assessment and their first treatment at no charge. We do not bill your insurance for it, so your yearly coverage stays untouched.
Most benefit plans cover only a few hundred dollars of physiotherapy each year. That is often three to five visits. A full recovery plan usually takes six to eight. The free first visit means your coverage goes toward getting better instead of finding out what is wrong.
There is no obligation to book anything after. If you do not need treatment, we will tell you.
How much does physiotherapy cost in Ancaster?
Your first visit is free. After that, treatment sessions are priced in line with private physiotherapy clinics in the Ancaster and Hamilton area.
We will tell you the exact fee before you book anything, and we check your insurance coverage with you first. You will never get a surprise bill. Call us at 289-205-8255 for current rates.
Do I need a doctor's referral to book?
No. In Ontario you can see a physiotherapist directly. You do not need to see your family doctor first.
Some extended health plans still ask for a referral before they will reimburse you. We can help you check whether yours does before your visit.
Do you offer direct billing to my insurance?
Yes. We bill most major insurers directly, including Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, GreenShield and Desjardins. You only pay any part your plan does not cover.
If your plan is not on the list, we give you a receipt you can submit yourself.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP in Ontario?
OHIP covers physiotherapy only at specific government funded clinics, and only for certain groups. That usually means people 65 and older, people 19 and under, and people recently discharged from hospital after related surgery.
Interlink is a private clinic, so our care is not billed to OHIP. Most of our patients use extended health benefits, WSIB, auto insurance, or pay privately. Your first visit here is free regardless.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We are a single therapist clinic, so we keep the schedule tight on purpose. Most new patients are seen within a few days. Call 289-205-8255 and we will tell you the next available time straight away.
What happens at my first appointment?
The full visit is one on one with Dhiman and runs 45 to 60 minutes. He listens to your history and what you are trying to get back to. Then he does a hands on assessment to find the cause of the problem.
You get treatment the same visit, and you leave knowing what is going on, what the plan looks like, and roughly how long recovery takes.
Will I see the same physiotherapist every visit?
Yes. Every appointment is with Dhiman Patel, a registered physiotherapist. You will not be handed to an assistant, and we never book two patients into the same time slot.
What should I wear to a physiotherapy appointment?
Wear clothing you can move in. Shorts are helpful for knee, hip and ankle problems. A loose t-shirt or tank top works well for shoulder, neck and back problems. Bring running shoes if you have them.
What is the difference between a physiotherapist and a chiropractor?
Both treat pain and movement problems, and both are regulated health professions in Ontario. Physiotherapists focus heavily on assessment, hands on treatment, and prescribed exercise to restore strength and function over time.
Which one suits you depends on your problem and what you are trying to get back to. We are happy to talk it through on the phone before you book.
Do you treat WSIB and car accident injuries?
Yes. We are a WSIB provider and we treat motor vehicle accident injuries through auto insurance. We handle the reporting and the paperwork for both.
You can read more on our WSIB physiotherapy page and our car accident physiotherapy page.
Is there free parking at your Ancaster clinic?
Yes. Parking is free and it is directly outside the clinic door. There are no meters, no parking lots to pay for, and no long walk from the car.
Which areas do you serve besides Ancaster?
Patients come to us from across Ancaster and from Hamilton, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Binbrook, Waterdown, Mount Hope and Copetown. Our Hamilton page has drive times from the Mountain, Westdale and Dundas.
Coming from Hamilton instead? See our Hamilton physiotherapy page for drive times from the Mountain, Westdale and Dundas.
