What your first visit costs you$0

Most benefit plans only cover a few hundred dollars of physiotherapy each year. That is often three to five visits, and a full recovery plan usually takes six to eight. So we make the first visit free.

You get a full 60 minute assessment plus your first treatment at no charge, and we do not bill your insurance for it. Your coverage goes toward getting better rather than toward finding out what is wrong.

The free visit is not billed to any insurer. Treatment is provided only where it is clinically appropriate. There is no obligation to continue.

Why Hamilton Patients Drive to Interlink

Hamilton has no shortage of physiotherapy clinics. Patients still drive to us from the Mountain, Westdale and Dundas, and it comes down to how the care actually works.

Every appointment is one on one with the same registered physiotherapist, from your first assessment through to your last visit. Nobody gets passed to an assistant halfway through a plan. Nobody shares an appointment slot. Your treatment is explained in plain language, and your progress gets measured rather than guessed at.

We treat everyday injuries, workplace injuries through WSIB, and car accident recovery through auto insurance. That includes shockwave therapy for tendon problems that have not settled with other care.

  • The same physiotherapist at every visit
  • Unhurried 45 to 60 minute appointments
  • Free parking at the door, with no meters
  • No downtown traffic to sit in
  • WSIB and motor vehicle accident claims handled here
  • Direct billing to most insurers

Dhiman Patel guiding a patient through a shoulder mobility exercise at Interlink Physiotherapy

Dhiman Patel, MScPT

MScPT, Western University · BScKin, McMaster University
Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

Dhiman earned his BSc in Kinesiology at McMaster University, so Hamilton is home ground, then completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Western University. He opened Interlink in 2024 and treats every patient personally.

His approach is to find the real cause of the problem, explain it in words that make sense, and give you what you need to fix it. An informed patient heals faster, and that is what the evidence shows.

He also works as a homecare physiotherapist across Hamilton, which keeps him treating a wide range of ages and abilities every week.

Paying for Physiotherapy in Hamilton

Most Hamilton clinics will not tell you how payment works until you are in the room. Here is the plain version.

01

Extended health benefits

Most patients use a workplace or private plan. We bill Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, GreenShield, Desjardins and most other major insurers directly. You pay only what your plan does not cover.

02

WSIB and auto insurance

Hurt at work or in a collision? Treatment is covered through WSIB or your auto insurer, and we take care of the reporting.

03

Paying privately

No coverage is fine. We give you the fee before you book, and your first visit is free regardless. You will always know the cost before agreeing to anything.

Interlink is a private clinic and does not bill OHIP. OHIP funded physiotherapy is available only at designated clinics and only for certain groups.

Your First Visit, Step by Step

01

We listen

Dhiman asks about your history, your pain, and what you are trying to get back to. No rushing.

02

We assess

A hands on assessment to find the cause rather than the symptom, with movement, strength and function all measured.

03

You leave with a plan

Treatment starts the same visit, and you leave knowing what is going on and how long recovery should take.

Where to find us. 1280 Mohawk Rd #103, Ancaster, ON L9G 3K9. Free parking directly outside, ground floor access, and no stairs at the entrance. Open Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 6:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Questions From Hamilton Patients

What people from Hamilton usually ask before their first visit.

Do you see patients from Hamilton?

Yes. A large share of our patients come from Hamilton, especially the West Mountain, Westdale and Dundas. Our clinic sits on Mohawk Road in Ancaster, the same Mohawk Road that runs across the Mountain. For many Hamilton patients it is a straight drive with no downtown traffic and no paid parking.

How far is your clinic from Hamilton Mountain?

About eight minutes from the West Mountain and about twelve from the Central Mountain, straight along Mohawk Road. From lower Hamilton and Westdale it is roughly fifteen minutes on Highway 403 or Wilson Street. From Dundas it is about ten minutes on Highway 8.

Is my first visit really free?

Yes. New patients get a full assessment and their first treatment at no charge, and we do not bill your insurance for it.

Most benefit plans cover only a few hundred dollars of physiotherapy a year, which is often three to five visits. A full recovery plan usually takes six to eight. The free first visit keeps your coverage for the treatment itself.

There is no obligation to book anything afterwards.

How much does physiotherapy cost in Hamilton?

Your first visit is free. Treatment after that is priced in line with private physiotherapy clinics across Hamilton and Ancaster.

We tell you the exact fee before you book and we check your coverage with you first, so there is never a surprise bill. Call 289-205-8255 for current rates.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. In Ontario you can see a physiotherapist without a referral.

Some extended health plans still want one before they reimburse you. We can help you check your plan before your visit.

Do you offer direct billing to insurance?

Yes. We bill most major insurers directly, including Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, GreenShield and Desjardins. You pay only the portion your plan does not cover.

Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP in Hamilton?

OHIP funded physiotherapy exists only at designated clinics and only for certain groups, usually people 65 and older, people 19 and under, and people recently discharged from hospital after related surgery.

Interlink is a private clinic and does not bill OHIP. Most of our patients use extended health benefits, WSIB or auto insurance. Your first visit here is free either way.

Do you take WSIB and car accident claims?

Yes. We treat workplace injuries under WSIB and car accident injuries through auto insurance, and we handle the reporting for both.

You can read the details on our WSIB physiotherapy page and our car accident physiotherapy page.

Is parking free?

Yes. Parking is free and directly outside the clinic door. There are no meters and no paid lots, which is the main reason a lot of our Hamilton patients drive out to us.

How soon can I get an appointment?

We are a single therapist clinic and we keep the schedule deliberately tight. Most new patients are seen within a few days. Call 289-205-8255 and we will tell you the next available time.

Will I see the same physiotherapist every time?

Yes. Every appointment is one on one with Dhiman Patel, a registered physiotherapist. You will not be handed to an assistant, and two patients are never booked into the same slot.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring clothing you can move in. Shorts help for knee, hip and ankle problems, and a loose top works for shoulder and neck problems. Bring your insurance information, and your claim number if you have a WSIB or auto insurance claim.

What is the difference between physiotherapy and massage therapy?

Massage therapy works mainly on soft tissue to ease tension and pain. Physiotherapy starts with an assessment to find the cause of a movement or pain problem, then combines hands on treatment with prescribed exercise to restore function over time.

If you are unsure which fits your situation, call us and we will talk it through.

Which Hamilton areas do you serve?

Patients come to us from the West Mountain, Central and East Mountain, Westdale, Dundas, Kirkendall, Durand, downtown Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Waterdown, Binbrook, Mount Hope and Glanbrook.
